Methodology for Efficient Bitumen Storage with Reduced Energy Consumption

This paper studies the possibility of minimizing energy consumption during 35/50 bitumen storage. Similarly to most companies, company with which we collaborated uses fossil fuel maintain tanks at 150 °C. The main objective is optimize usage. To achieve this purpose, tested two new storage processes. One based on dynamic temperature between 140 and 160 °C, other room conditions. work evaluates effect these conditions quality bitumen, aspect calculate profit for every method. After storage, have studied short-term long-term ageing using Rolling Thin Film Oven (RTFOT) Pressure Ageing Vessel (PAV) tests, respectively.
